Dancing in Heels

I have run classes and workshops on how to dance and walk like a goddess and in 2 of the season classes, I’ll always try to get my ladies to bring along their shoes so they can learn to walk in them the goddess way.

Christmas and the end of the year bring with it lots of party invites. This means lots of high heels will be bought and worn and then pain the morning after. So how do you alleviate the pain and the discomfort?

Of course, it’s imperative that you’re comfortable wearing heels and prior to dancing in them, you should be able to walk in them confidently. As I mentioned in my video, I noticed many women, even though they are dressed impeccably, still walk clumsily in heels. This is because we never really learn how to walk properly as a child. We are taught how to sit at the table and feed ourselves, how to hold the pencil and write cursives and even how to sit at the computer and hold our head. Yet we are never really taught how to walk (unless you are one of those debutantes who go to a ‘finishing school))

We just have to be aware that wearing heels, no matter how good we walk in them, carries potential long term damage. This is a good article shared on the NHS site to read.

So here is my simple tutorial for you. I hope you enjoy trying out in front of the mirror. 🙂

Why not? Think like a goddess, walk like a goddess, act like a goddess, is there an age limit. I will stick with 2 inch red heels max. ??
