I know everyone’s talking about New Year’s Resolutions, new year changes, yadda, yadda, yadda… and I’m not those type of person.
I hate the words “New Year’s resolutions” as those goals made have been shown to fail 80% of the time by the end of the first quarter. As a life coach-therapist, I work with clients to affect positive life-long changes. Those changes can happen anytime, and only when you are ready.
Assuming you are excited to make changes for 2019 from the beginning of this year, these are my first 3 tips. They are so simple to do and highly achievable. I can also promise you, the joy they bring is immense.
So if you haven’t already, click on the link below and spend 10 mins with me going through the tips I myself keep as a reminder.
Have a great day and kisses to all.
3 Simple Tips to a Better Mental Health for 2019
Blogmas Day 13/14: How to Work Those Hips Dance Tutorial
Everyone it seems is always mesmerised by Shakira’s music and even more her dancing skills. Her hips truly don’t lie right? 😉
Every time I teach a class, I always get asked if I can show how she does her ‘thing’. She has lots of ‘things’ that are so special so here is one of them.
A lot of belly dancing moves involve the hips, rightfully so, as it’s the centre of our gravity. And in the case of my Belly Goddess Dance Therapy, it’s always about igniting the ‘kundalini’ or the base chakra. It’s like lighting the main furnace in order to get everything going in the house.
Enjoy this little tutorial and the short demo dance with Shakira’s music.
P.S Did you see the earlier post on how to Dance in Heels?
Blogmas Day 7: How to Party & Dance in High Heels Comfortably
I have run classes and workshops on how to dance and walk like a goddess and in 2 of the season classes, I’ll always try to get my ladies to bring along their shoes so they can learn to walk in them the goddess way.
Christmas and the end of the year bring with it lots of party invites. This means lots of high heels will be bought and worn and then pain the morning after. So how do you alleviate the pain and the discomfort?
Of course, it’s imperative that you’re comfortable wearing heels and prior to dancing in them, you should be able to walk in them confidently. As I mentioned in my video, I noticed many women, even though they are dressed impeccably, still walk clumsily in heels. This is because we never really learn how to walk properly as a child. We are taught how to sit at the table and feed ourselves, how to hold the pencil and write cursives and even how to sit at the computer and hold our head. Yet we are never really taught how to walk (unless you are one of those debutantes who go to a ‘finishing school))
We just have to be aware that wearing heels, no matter how good we walk in them, carries potential long term damage. This is a good article shared on the NHS site to read.
So here is my simple tutorial for you. I hope you enjoy trying out in front of the mirror. 🙂
The First Path to Your Goddessness
Working with women and empowering them over 23 years have taught me that many women don’t realise how powerful their feminine energy is. This is why I totally enjoy doing what I do.
Having taken a long break from doing this work when I moved to London (I was pursuing my other professional channels of work) I do miss working with women in this avenue and the many
So here’s a simple video to give you an idea of the beginning of that path and the journey to you discovering your inner goddess.
Update on the High & (Super) Low of My Move to Spain
Goddess Life Shares
I came down with flu after contracting it in Frankfurt a day before flying ‘home’ to our new house. Literally, the day after I arrived, after we got the keys to the new place, I woke up feeling very, very sick.
3 weeks of headaches, painful aches, hacking cough and painful chest while trying to make a new home was hard. It didn’t help that my other half left back for London a day after my eldest left, a week and a bit after we moved in. I had to sort 3 children’s schools and other daily agendas. As soon as I was getting better on the 3 weeks mark, my husband came home with his own cold.
This battered body of mine with its low immunity then came down with another bout of viral infection. It was hard but I was excited that the second half of our household goods was finally going to be delivered and we can finally ‘properly’ move in.
But wait… what’s going on? The friendly, communicative guy who delivered the first round of our goods has disappeared after getting his full payment.
Below is my full Sunday vlog to explain the horrible week I’ve had while trying to gain my strength again.
Me being the positive lass I usually am, I’m trying to find the blessing behind this ‘curse’. I hate it when I see good people being cheated but now it’s happening to me. So taking a deep breath and trying to calm down and fix whatever we can no matter how small. Send me your good vibes please! ♥️
p.s Thank you to my fellow expat mamas for sharing your own crazy move story! 6 months without your container of goods, delays at customs, bribes to pay in 3rd world countries… it’s all made me feel saner to know my loss is probably small in the grand scheme of things.

Simple Hack to be Happy & Positive Instantly
For many of us consuming digital information these days, it’s hard not to notice that there’s more negative news than there are positive. You have to look really hard to find that snippet of happy, sunshiney nugget of positivity.
It’s no wonder that many young people today admitted they are easily depressed and feel low more than they feel high. So is there a way out easily?
Besides stopping reading the (mainly negative) news completely, how about doing something easy enough to turn your world upside down? Literally?
Here’s my simple trick which I’ve used every. single. day to be happy, no matter how s**te I feel that morning.
Once you’ve practised this hack for at least 2 weeks, (every day), come back here and tell me the difference it’s made to you. I would love to hear what you think!
